Which Relationship Test Do You Need?

Each test serves a different purpose. Every appointment begins with a consultation — we confirm the correct test for your situation before anything is scheduled.

01

Maternity Testing

Confirms Biological Motherhood

Maternity testing establishes whether a woman is the biological mother of a child. It is less commonly requested than paternity testing but serves an important role in specific legal and personal circumstances.

Adoption verification and biological family reunification
Hospital mix-up concerns
Immigration petitions requiring biological proof of motherhood
Estate and inheritance matters
Surrogacy-related confirmation
Starting at $595 + $60 mobile fee
02

Siblingship Testing

Full or Half Sibling Analysis

Siblingship testing determines the probability that two individuals share one or both biological parents. Results are expressed as a statistical probability — not a definitive yes or no — and the analysis is stronger when a parent is also tested.

Estate and inheritance disputes when a parent is deceased
Immigration petitions requiring proof of sibling relationship
Family reunification after separation or adoption
Personal confirmation of biological relationship
Starting at $595 + $60 mobile fee
03

Grandparentage Testing

Alternative to Paternity Testing

Grandparentage testing establishes a biological relationship between a child and one or both of the alleged father's parents. It is used when the alleged father is unavailable, deceased, or unwilling to participate in paternity testing.

Paternity cases where the alleged father is deceased
Estate and inheritance matters involving grandchildren
Immigration petitions when a parent is unavailable
Child support or custody matters involving deceased parent
Starting at $595 + $60 mobile fee
Know Before You Book

Legal Testing vs. Personal Knowledge Testing.

All three relationship tests are available in both legal and personal knowledge formats. The right choice depends entirely on how you intend to use the results.

Personal Knowledge

Private Results

Choose personal knowledge testing when results are for your own information only and no legal proceeding is involved or anticipated.

  • Same laboratory accuracy as legal testing
  • No chain-of-custody documentation required
  • No ID verification required
  • Complete confidentiality
  • Results not court-admissible
Starting at $595 + $60 mobile fee
When These Tests Are Used

Common Situations We Help With.

Estate & Inheritance

When a biological relationship must be established to determine inheritance rights — particularly when the connecting parent is deceased and direct paternity testing is not possible.

Immigration Petitions

USCIS and immigration courts accept AABB-accredited DNA relationship testing as biological proof when documents are unavailable or insufficient. We coordinate testing that meets those requirements.

Family Reunification

For individuals separated by adoption, migration, or family circumstance who are seeking biological confirmation of a family relationship for personal knowledge or official purposes.

The Process

Simple. Structured. Private.

Every relationship test follows the same clear process — from consultation through results delivery.

01

Consultation

Contact us first. We confirm which test is appropriate for your situation, whether legal or personal knowledge testing is needed, and who needs to be tested. We answer every question before you commit.

02

Scheduling

We coordinate collection at your preferred location — home, office, or another private space — for all parties being tested. Weekend and after-hours availability upon request.

03

Intake & Consent

For legal testing, government-issued identification is verified and consent documentation is completed for all parties before collection begins. This becomes part of the chain-of-custody record.

04

Sample Collection

Buccal cheek swabs are collected from all required parties. For some relationship tests, including both parents where possible strengthens the statistical result. We advise on this during consultation.

05

Laboratory Analysis

Samples are processed through our AABB-accredited laboratory partner. Relationship testing results include a probability index and statistical analysis specific to the test type.

06

Results Delivery

Results are delivered securely by email or mail within 3–5 business days of sample receipt. Legal results include full chain-of-custody documentation. Results are never released by phone.

Questions & Answers

Relationship Testing — FAQ.

Do all parties need to be present at the same time?
Not necessarily. In some cases we can coordinate separate collection appointments for different parties. Contact us before scheduling to discuss logistics — we will confirm what is possible for your specific test.
Is siblingship testing as conclusive as paternity testing?
Siblingship results are expressed as a probability — not a definitive yes or no. The statistical strength of the result is significantly improved when one or both parents are also tested. We advise on this during your consultation.
Can grandparentage testing replace paternity testing?
In many legal and immigration contexts, yes. Grandparentage testing is specifically designed for situations where the alleged father is unavailable or deceased. It is accepted by USCIS and most courts as an alternative biological proof. Contact us to confirm suitability for your specific case.
What if one party refuses to participate?
Testing requires the consent of all adult participants. If a party refuses, a court order may compel participation in legal cases. For personal knowledge testing, alternative test types may be available depending on which parties are willing. Contact us to discuss your options.
Are results accepted for immigration purposes?
Yes. USCIS accepts AABB-accredited DNA relationship testing as biological proof when used for immigration petitions. All legal relationship testing we coordinate meets AABB accreditation requirements. Contact us to confirm the specific requirements for your immigration case before scheduling.
Can testing be done if one party is deceased?
In some cases, yes. Postmortem DNA coordination may be available depending on sample availability. Alternatively, relationship testing through living biological relatives may provide comparable evidence. Contact us to discuss the specifics of your situation.
How many people need to be tested?
It depends on the test type. Maternity testing typically requires the mother and child. Siblingship testing requires both alleged siblings, and ideally one parent. Grandparentage testing requires the child and one or both grandparents. We confirm exactly who needs to be tested during your consultation.
How do I know which test is right for my situation?
Every test begins with a consultation. Contact us first and we will confirm the right test for your situation, the correct format — legal or personal — and exactly who needs to be included. No appointment is scheduled until everything is confirmed.
